A new parking garage at The Waterfront Vancouver is set to begin construction as soon as next week.

The lot, on Block 7, was surface parking, but it closed at the end of last month to allow the

construction of the garage.

The eight-story parking tower will hold 829 spaces. It will also have three elevators and 83

electric vehicle charging spaces. The building will boast 10,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space to bring in more shops, restaurants or whatever else tenants want to see at The Waterfront Vancouver. Visitors to the garage will have to pay for parking.

Gramor Development is the developer for the parking garage, which was always part of the

plan for The Waterfront Vancouver, according to President Barry Cain.
